Together with the Production Line Supervisors and the Director of Employment Programs, is responsible for providing knowledgeable, competent and professional technical assistance and support to our consumers (adults with intellectual disabilities participating in our Work Activity Program) and production staff members in the administration of his/her responsibilities, maintaining high policy standards of performance, quality, customer service, communications, ethics and confidentiality. The goal of the Production Assistant is to ensure safe operation of equipment on the production floor, set-up and tear down of consumer work stations, ensuring timely completion of production assignments of consumers and general oversight, together with Production Line Supervisors, of all activities on the production floor. The ideal candidate is an individual with a desire to challenge themselves and grow by directing adults with intellectual disabilities and providing them with the ability to learn how to work efficiently and eventually receive the opportunity to more fully integrate into their surrounding communities. Warehouse experience preferred.
The current work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday from 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM and the wage is $11.75 per hour. High School Diploma is required; AA or higher degree in related field desired but not required.
