Long-time service provider for adults with disabilities to offer more community integration opportunities.

MONTCLAIR, CA — July 24, 2017 — There are more changes ahead for Anthesis, formerly known, as PVW.  Anthesis recently received a grant from the State of California to develop a new integrative program that will help adults with disabilities more actively participate in work and social opportunities within our larger community.  The roll out of this new program is planned for later this year.

“It’s a change that’s much appreciated,” says Executive Director, Mitch Gariador.

“We have seen a tremendous regulatory and societal shift in our approach to caring for and providing opportunities for adults with disabilities and Anthesis will be prepared to comply with regulations intended to ensure individuals with disabilities have full opportunity to participate in their communities.  Since our founding, we have had a strong commitment to bringing a variety of work, education, and social opportunities for adults with disabilities and our newer, more integrative programs, reflect this much appreciated shift.

“Our recent name change to Anthesis signifies our commitment to this shift.  Anthesis is defined as a flower at its most beautiful and productive stage, and that is exactly how we see the work we do.  Our services develop and grow the abilities of adults with disabilities and help each person blossom within their community.”

Formerly known as PVW or Pomona Valley Workshop, this non-profit organization has fostered skills, confidence, and purpose to help thousands of adults with disabilities bloom since its founding in 1966.  We are a leading provider of social and business services that engage and connect adults with disabilities within their local communities through job training, partnerships with local businesses, and supportive social experiences.
