Anthesis is looking for individuals with a knack for gardening/landscaping to work with a landscaping/yard crew enclave by assisting them with outdoor landscaping duties. We are looking for someone that is interested in making a difference!
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Train, supervise and oversee an enclave of adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities who work on the company’s yard/lawn crew
- Instructing Yard Crew in work activities
- Promoting vocational, social, physical and intellectual growth while ensuring that all tasks are completed
- Instructing and working alongside the consumers on different landscaping activities including but not limited to mowing, raking, cleaning, and blowing lawns and gardens for personal and business contracts
- The Job Coach is responsible for safety of consumer workers and self, ALL THE WHILE helping the consumers fulfill the expected job duties set forth for them as the landscaping crew.
- Expectations and duties include driving consumers to and from contracted businesses
- Documenting time sheets related to consumer payroll/program billing and production records
- Documenting the work performance of consumer workers
- Maintaining supportive relationships, careful training and correct job placement/charting consumer progress, setting good examples of rules and directives by displaying to consumer workers the proper techniques, habits and attitudes for work.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
- Candidate should be familiar with and/or have worked with individuals with DD.
- The position requires an individual who is empathetic, patient, proactive, and works well with others.
- Individuals must be able and willing to work outdoors for extended periods of time and work safely in a variety of outdoor settings.
- Must be 21 years of age for insurance purposes; have current/valid California drivers license and clean driving record
