2021 Anthesis Picnic Re-Cap

On Wednesday, October 6, the Anthesis community came together for an exciting day of fun and memories at the Anthesis Picnic! It was our first year hosting the event at Chino Hills Community Center and all who attended enjoyed the beautiful community center! With the abundant amount of space, picnic goers were able to spread out, socialize, and enjoy the activities. Attendees enjoyed a variety of games, including the Anthesis Ninja Obstacle Course, Plinko, flamingo toss and so many others. Besides the activities that were set up, Transition Program participants and their coaches set up a friendly game of dodgeball on the back end of the field. Our event wouldn’t have been complete without our DJ, Austin Burge, who had everyone up and dancing to the latest hits.

Attendees also got to taste chili samples from the 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off competition! This years’ contestants consisted of 3 staff members: Rita Ramirez, Oscar Gonzalez, and Lucy Jimenez. All contestants made some great chili that had everyone lining up for more. It was a tough decision, but Rita Ramirez took home the First Place Prize! Not only were attendees able to enjoy chili, but a tasty hot dog meal accompanied by a corn medley and chips was provided.

Besides the Grand Opening of our corporate office located in Ontario, the Anthesis Picnic has been the only in-person event we’ve had this year! Staff and participants alike had a great time at the event catching up with their colleagues.

Thank you to all that joined us for our Annual Picnic, and a special thank you to the Mt. SAC PsychTech students who volunteered! You were a tremendous help in setting up the event and assisting participants in the obstacle course. We’ve posted more about our picnic on our social media. If you don’t already follow us there, we’d love for you to do that on our Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram pages for the latest updates on our happenings.
