Our employment placement services are flexible to assist the individual in any way they need support. Depending on the actual needs of the individual, a combination of traditional job development and Discovery might be used.

Traditional Job Development & Training

Traditional job development helps those who know what job(s) they want but need a little help with the soft skills and the application process. Here, we work on things such as:

Discovery: Assessment and Training Services (DATS)

We designed our DATS discovery program for individuals who are unsure of their career path, or who might need a little extra help in figuring out what they want to do. We love this discovery program because it is a highly personal approach to job and career development. This approach matches our “person-centered philosophy“, with the individual determining their unique employment path.

Called “DATS” for short, this assessment and training program begins with our “Discovering Personal Genius” program. This valuable tool unlocks a job seeker’s passion and potential. This assessment also gives us a better understanding of where you are on your job readiness journey.

From DATS, we better understand each person’s area of interest. We can also identify unique growth opportunities. Once we have this understanding and know where they want to go to be successful in their work lives, we reach out to our network of businesses and help them find their perfect job.

Since we began offering this special program in 2018, DATS has since become a large part of our job placement success.

Customized Employment

This option truly allows everyone to meet their full potential in the workplace.

Individuals are selected for this program from our Transition Program based on their job readiness and interests. They can also enter the program directly after high school or from other community programs as long as they are ready to move forward with their job exploration. The people in this program work closely with job developers, discussing their goals and aspirations, before determining the best path for long term employment success.

Next, we work with a potential employer to carve out the perfect job, often using natural supports in the workplace. Natural supports are the company’s inclusive work policies that help all people successfully perform their jobs, regardless of their disabilities.

Employment Success

REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Both our DATS program and our IECBS program follow new regulations mandated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), expected to go into effect on March 17, 2023.
