Supported Employment Options

We support independent and inclusive lives for adults with disabilities with tailored employment strategies for each participant. We do this through a mix of paid and natural supports with our business partners to achieve the goal of working fully in an inclusive environment.

When individuals feel “job-ready” and have begun working, we help make sure they succeed in their new workplace. We do this by:

– Providing supported employment for work opportunities with our business partners.
– Helping people with disabilities be successful in the competitive job market.

Supported Employment | Individual or Group Placement

Of course, our goal is for each person to thrive to the best of their abilities.  Our Supported Employment Program helps individuals thrive in the workplace. We have two options with our business partners: individual placement or groups of 3-4 in an “enclave” placement.

Our job coaches go to the workplace and provide on-site support. As a result, a strong bond generally forms between these individuals and job coaches. We have found this to be an important part of the job experience.

In addition, job coaches help manage work quality and troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the workplace. These coaches take part in all the on-the-job training so they understand the work expectations. They develop a routine to help the individuals perform the job duties assigned. As a result, job coaches become a trusted resource for participants throughout the day. Their support on and off the job to ensure the greatest success for all participants.

Natural Support and Inclusive Work Environments

Because some individuals do not need the full support of a job coach, we make sure the businesses they are working with have natural supports and inclusive policies within the company to ensure continued success.

We are grateful to have partnered with many businesses over our 50-plus years. These businesses support our mission and provide meaningful employment opportunities for our participants. They provide natural support and an inclusive environment for people to thrive.

These crucial partnerships have a tremendous impact on people with disabilities. The confidence and excitement of being able to contribute to the workforce are evident in their smiles. Of course, businesses enjoy knowing they are gaining quality workers from Anthesis!

Employment Success

Ultimately, success in the workplace results from meeting the needs of each individual in a supportive environment. Participants in this program have found success with employment partners in various industries, such as hospitality, retail, and manufacturing.

You can read more about employment experiences such as portering and laundry services at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Claremont, CA, and product assembly and testing at FSC Lighting in Rancho Cucamonga in our success stories.

We also have amazing day programs for those individuals who do not wish, or cannot work in the community.

We invite you
