Anthesis 9thAnnual Power of the Flower Virtual Fundraiser came to a close on October 10thand had it’s closing ceremony on October 13th. The fundraiser was an absolute success as 239 individuals and 18 sponsors were able to raise $26,800 towards Anthesis programs for adults with [dis]abilities. The funding raised will allow Anthesis to purchase COVID related health and safety supplies for staff and consumers and affords the flexibility needed to adapt our services in response to the pandemic. Anthesis truly has an awesome community. Thank you to the individuals, families, groups and sponsors that rallied around Anthesis in support of the Power of the Flower Virtual Fundraiser.
The event was virtual for the first time and a huge thank you goes out to each and every person who participated and to each and every person who donated to the event! The Power of the Flower Event still created a sense of community! So many of you sent in photos and videos and joined the Facebook Lives, it was heartwarming to see everyone, even if it was only virtually.
During the closing ceremony, prize winners were recognized, and a raffle drawing occurred. Even though Anthesis recognizes and greatly appreciates all of support that the event has received, some teams went above and beyond and for that were able to qualify for the grand prizes.
