Teen Social Connections Workshop: A Vital Resource for Our Community

At Anthesis, we are committed to providing valuable resources and support for our community. We are excited to highlight an upcoming event hosted by Behavior Highway in collaboration with the San Gabriel Pomona Regional Center (SG/PRC): the Teen Social Connections Workshop Series. This free, in-person workshop series is designed for teens and their parents, offering a comprehensive 8-week program focused on essential social skills and emotional development.

Workshop Topics

The Teen Social Connections Workshop Series covers a variety of important topics aimed at helping teens navigate social challenges and build healthy relationships. Topics include:

  • Choosing Friends: Learning how to identify and foster positive friendships.
  • Relationships & Boundaries: Understanding the importance of setting and respecting boundaries in different types of relationships.
  • Bullying & Teasing: Strategies to handle and prevent bullying and teasing.
  • Positive Body Image: Promoting self-acceptance and a healthy body image.
  • Social Media & Communication: Navigating the complexities of social media and effective communication.
  • Rumors & Gossip: Coping with and addressing rumors and gossip.
  • Emotional Regulation & Coping: Techniques for managing emotions and developing coping strategies.
  • Review/Graduation: Summarizing key learnings and celebrating the completion of the workshop.
