Highlighting Patty Lopez, Transportation Coordinator

Patty began her career with Anthesis on December 20, 2011 as she was hired on as Anthesis’ Transportation Coordinator. With Anthesis staring a new transportation program, Patty’s position was incredibly vital to making sure the program ran smoothly. Little did we know, Anthesis was fortunate enough to be gaining someone who would be a huge asset and a valuable member of the Anthesis team.

Patty’s experience as a Student Affairs Advisor and Housing/Carpool Coordinator has been a major benefit to her position as Transportation Coordinator as she was proficient at multi-tasking and coordinating. Our transportation program was successful from the start and continues to be with Patty being one of the main reasons. In her position, Patty has helped develop and implement transportation routes, schedules, training, maintenance protocol and so much more.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Patty was coordinating approximately 10 double routes, 20 staff members and anywhere from 60 to 90 participants. This included some of the enclave transportation. Her role was incredibly vital to participants getting to and from program on time. Through her ability of tediously scheduling transportation, Patty has made sure Anthesis participants get their transportation needs met.

As we have begun transitioning out of the COVID-19 pandemic, Patty continues to help Anthesis by working just as hard, though the work may look different right now.  Patty works in tandem with Richard Chatman, Anthesis’ Maintenance Technician, to coordinate maintenance schedules and repairs for the transportation vehicles.

Patty’s strong work ethic is an inspiration to staff here at Anthesis. She is dependable, dedicated, hardworking, respectful, committed and positive.  She is organized and very thorough, especially when working out routes. Patty goes on each of the routes looking for the best, most economic, yet safe way to get our participants to and from home. Because of her efforts, participants continue to receive scheduled transportation that allows them to work towards completing their program goals.

Thank you, Patty for all the amazing work you do!
