Honoring FSC Lighting as Anthesis’ 2021 Annual Dinner Business Partnership Honoree

FSC Lighting, located in Rancho Cucamonga, manufactures energy-efficient LED lighting for commercial, industrial and institutional customers. John Watkins, Chief Executive Officer, leads FSC Lighting with more than 25 years of experience in the lighting industry and is a dedicated advocate for inclusive employment among his colleagues.

During a simple round of golf, Watkins and Andrew Behnke, former Anthesis Board Member, struck up a conversation about Anthesis. Soon, Behnke introduced Watkins to Employment Services programs at Anthesis and a great partnership formed. FSC Lighting quickly employed a group of Anthesis participants, and not soon after, a second group of Anthesis participants joined FSC in response to the fantastic work of the first group.

FSC Lighting has helped bridge the employment gap for adults with disabilities. During the past year, FSC Lighting and Anthesis program participants achieved a remarkable milestone: over 100,000 employment hours! The FSC Lighting management team worked tirelessly during the pandemic to ensure Anthesis’ enclave members safety while they continued to work.

“Our partnership with Anthesis is helping us achieve our goal of having more than 25 percent of our direct workforce be developmentally disabled,” Watkins said. “The relationship is good for Anthesis staff, FSC and the community. Our Anthesis staff benefits as do FSC direct employees. We’re proud to have the Anthesis team working alongside us every day.”

Thank you, FSC Lighting, for your compassion, dedication, and trust!
