In December 2018, less than 2 months after joining IECBS, Tyler was selected and authorized to participate in the Discovery program. As a part of the Discovery process, Job Developer, Quiana Price took Tyler out to a few Informational Interviews. When they arrived at LOL Kids Club – located in the Ontario Mills Mall – the manager of the restaurant took an immediate interest in Tyler’s energy, magnetic smile and positive attitude. He was hired on the spot. Tyler shared that the Discovery Program “was very helpful by breaking down my interest to help me find a job suited for me”. When asked what activities he’s enjoyed the most so far, he responded “going to different locations and exploring the different job opportunities a place has”. While Tyler will tell you he misses the friends he made in IECBS and is thinking about re-joining for the socialization aspects on his days off, he loves his job, loves working with the children and takes his position very seriously. We are happy for Tyler and congratulate him on his success!
